Physics Competition
This term, children have worked hard to design a rocket that would be capable of landing on planet Mars! They included detailed sketches and models that highlight scientific concepts they have considered. Great work everyone!

Please see below the information letter regarding our science competition this summer.
Good Luck!

Science Week 2025
This week, all of our classes have enjoyed celebrating British Science Week, where we have focused on raising the profile of physics, creating a sense of awe and wonder and developing our scientific enquiry skills. Class one worked brilliantly with the micro-bits investigating light around the school grounds and identifying where would be the best location for solar panels! Class 2 have been looking at creating paper planes and setting up an enquiry and using their scientific skills to think about how to make it travel further and why. In class 3, they have been investigating different magnets and using their knowledge of attracting, repelling and different poles to predict and ask questions about their scientific enquiry. In class 4, using our knowledge of forces and air resistance we created our own parachutes for our ‘eggsranouts’ and used our questioning skills to improve our design and record and analyse data and in year 6, pupils were using their knowledge of electrical circuits to create their own game using scientific enquiry skills to think about how they could get this to work. It has been brilliant to see how much all the children have enjoyed science week and developed their working scientifically skills! Well done everyone!
Christmas Physics Competition
KS2 worked extremely hard on the physics competition this term! Their task was to design a sleigh for Santa that can land or sit on water in water bound countries. I was blown away by all of the entries and how they all showed great knowledge and understanding of physics! Well done!
