This week we have been incredibly busy! In English, we have been writing a persuasive poster about a spy watch. The children have thought carefully about the different features the watch would need and they have written this to Alex Rider (relating to our class story). On Thursday, the whole school took part in the wellbeing afternoon and they had lots of fun completing different mindfulness activities: yoga bugs, just dance, arts and crafts and meditation.

This week the children have been working incredibly hard, I challenged them to write a persuasive advert on their favourite chocolate bar. Below are a few of the fantastic examples!

This week Year 6, with the Year 5's, took part in cross country . We were very impressed with the children and the effort they put in! In science, we were looking what blood is in the body. We discovered that blood is made of red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, platelets and nutrients. We even created our own blood, which was lots of fun!

This week Year 6 have been incredibly busy! We have created our own jumping games in PE to help improve the distance we can jump. In Science, we did a little bit of role play of the circulatory system. Some children were the blood vessels changing from being oxygenated and deoxygenated blood and others were the chambers which allowed the blood into and out of the heart. Lastly, we had a very special visit of some chicks which the children thoroughly enjoyed!
